FOOD $EN$E PROGRAM
BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE
BOONVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
If you eat, you qualify!
That’s the motto for the Food $en$e Program at
Boonville United Methodist Church.
“People honestly believe this is for low-income families,” says coordinator Diane Kilbourne, “but it’s for anyone.”
Anyone who wants to stretch their food dollars can participate; there are no income guidelines and no qualifications for the program.
Created by the Food Bank of Central New York, Food $en$e is designed to stretch a family’s food dollars, with packages containing 10-12 items. These packages include fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, and staple foods. Each package costs $15.50, but according to Diane, they are worth about double that amount.
Any questions, contact Diane Kilbourne, at 942-6652, or the church office at 942-2626 or email boonvilleumc@gmail.com.

Some Things Your Should Know About the Program:
- Signup for the food units is usually around the beginning of the month, and delivery is about three weeks later.
- The food is different every month.
- Each “unit,” consists of 10-12 items, and normally includes two-three canned items, two-three fresh produce items, and two-three frozen items.
- There are also monthly specials, which can be ordered in addition to each unit, or separately.
- Deliveries are made on Fridays about 1 p.m., depending on the weather and the driver’s schedule; pickup for those who have signed up is from 2-5 p.m. .
- You have to take everything that comes in a unit - you can give it away if you don’t want it!
- Some people “split” a unit, if they can’t use all the food that’s included.
- We cannot hold any packages after the scheduled pick-up time. If you have a conflict, please give your receipt to a friend so they may claim your package for you.
- Volunteers are always needed to help unload the truck! Contact the church office at 942-2626 if you are willing to help!
